Pours deep chestnut brown with slight red edges. Nice, relatively fizzy, off-white, creamy head. Lovely figs, plums, chocolate, light raspberries, hazelnuts, raisins. High carbonation, good dry mouthfeel. Flavour is quite bitter, some heavy, flowery hoppiness. Lots of dark chocolate, a tad of coffee. Extremely dry, grainy finish. Some yeasty notes. A very hoppy, very dry Christmas beer. Quite different to what I’d expected. But in a good way.
Pours a somewhat hazy cola brown with a VERY thick, it not overly persistent, light tan head. Aroma is sharp, malty, yeasty and just a little fruity. Flavor is quite strong, being yeasty and malty with an undertone of spice and more than a hint of fruit, mostly apple and pear. Texture is fizzy, tingly and rough, leaving a fruity and slightly bitter aftertaste. stouby (4670) - Holbæk, DENMARK - DEC 10, 2009

Draft. A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices - among them cinnamon as well as light notes of dusty hops. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt, caramel, spices - strongest being cinnamon but also a bit of cloves; leading to a dry alcoholic finish, where notes of over ripe fruits lingrs.
