Rated from old notes. A skunky bitterness pervades each sip, and a dull metallic note wraps things up. Amazingly the beer has been around since the 1850s ... proof that not all tradition is good. (Though this now seems, thankfully, to be retired.) hotstuff (5279) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 22, 2014
Rated on 11-01-2010 (Bottle) The appearance of this beer is a small very fizzy white head with a short lived retention, transparent yellow body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, corn and grass hops. The taste is lightly sweet, malty, lightly bitter, and some grass hops. The mouth feel is somewhat lively and this beer is medium bodied. This beer definitely lacks character and no WOW factor. It is a very boring beer to drink and rate. I do not recommend this beer and it is a beer I will not drink again. rjplumer (1236) - Foxboro, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 9, 2014
It has a mild hazy appearance with slin film for a head. Almost no aroma which has hints of corn and malt. Some bitterness with a glimpse of maltiness. Clean finish. On the refreshing light side. Good for a quick drink or session if your not looking for much. DylansDad (671) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 23, 2013
Generic slosh, but not the worst. I *could* drink this all night, but I’d never remember the taste.. because it has none. Just a watery generic slight bitter sweetness. Robots made this beer. blackbock (139) - Shoalhaven NSW, AUSTRALIA - OCT 2, 2012
Bottle. Metallic, mega lager. For an import, this tastes remarkably like Crown lager or something. Cheap though..

My bottle says 5.4% alcohol by volume. I’m thinking this is the same slop. Smells like grass, tastes like ass. Refreshing as the prom queens butthole. Save your money and buy Milwaukees Beast. Taste better (sort of) and cost less. A lot less. This sucks. The end!!!!!!!! BcOneSeven (46) - Newville, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Bottle at Market Cross Pub in Carlisle, PA. Certainly not my favorite Austrian beer. Bitter, but also bland if that makes sense. Aftertaste is of flat beer. I’ll do one a year for my World Tour Passport!

Bready-hay aroma-tones..... wait.... wait.... also a doughy presence. (Kinda sour-doughy). This brew has a somewhat cloudy golden appearance, accompanied by a quasi-lacey-white head that calms to a thin carpet at the surface of the liquid. The taste is rather interesting.... A slight hint of (light) sweetness, coupled with a medium-bitter flavor. Along with this combination, there is a undertone of sourness that I associate with a fine sourdough bread. Maybe there is even a slight saltiness present. Medium-bodied beer with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation followed by a somewhat long, bitter finish makes this beer a unique experience. Nothing spectacular, but I would drink this if it was the only thing around.
