COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 13, 2009
Pale straw color with a modest off-white head. Dry grass, wet wood and hint of pale malt aromas. Fairly zippy feel. Mild sweet, pale malt start. Actually sweetness seems to travel all the way through in this one. Some sweet herbal hops join in the middle with hints of wintergreen. Actually the more I think about this one compared to some other Euro lagers, pils, pales, etc., it’s kind of ok. At least it is fresh.

tap @ BfloBrewFest 2009. Standard pale yellow European lager. Mild aroma. Taste is slight sweet malts, watery finish. Drinkable but pretty standard & boring

33cl bottle poured into a lager glass. Sparkling straw with minimal white head. Aroma is dirty socks. Sweet maltiness with little hop balance. Thick grainy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.

On tap in Salzburg somewhere. Not too bad. Reminded me a bit of Stella, making me wonder whether this is Austria’s standard brew,. From the number of ratings, doesn’t lokk like it. Crisp with a some flavour and a bit of watery sweetness.

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2009
Can, 5.4%. Lagery aroma, hint of hops. Almost clear golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour has a little bisquity malt and spicy hop flavour, but also some rough flavour hop. There is even a little hop bite in the finish, but without the fresh hop flavour that should come along with it.

Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAY 26, 2009
Rating from an ice cold bottle (thanks to ohmper’s recommendation) of Zipfer Ein Mark Glas Heller Freude Original Import secured at Binny’s Beverage Depot in Plainfield, Illinois: It pours a very pale yellow body with an initially tall fizy head that rapidly reduces to nothingness. No lace. It has a very light aroma, a bit bready with faint traces of grassy/herbal hops. Watery. It’s flavor, also light, is sweet and bready with a grassy, metallic bitterness. Not offensive, but one was enough.

awaisanen (1304) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 11, 2009
From a 500mL Can. Crystal clear, pale brassy color with a thick layer of quickly dissipating, fluffy white foam. Clean, bready malt aroma with just a hint of herbal hop character. Light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a crisp, refreshing finish. The malt flavor is clean and light, but has a nice bready quality that tastes like pils malt, and not destroyed by unpleasant adjuncts. If there are adjuncts in this beer, they are used wisely. Finishes dry and clean, with a light lingering hop bitterness left on the palate.

anders37 (26641) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2009
Can. Pours a golden color with a small longlasting white head. Has a malty grainy and bready aroma. Sweetish malty grainy flavor with some bready hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

184601 (206) - Mexicali, MEXICO - MAY 5, 2009
Good. Purchased a single bottle at Mexico Wal-Mart for 23 pesos , lessen 2 dollars, this one had a typical lager aroma, however the palate was surpringly good, corn notes at the beginning kinda sweet and sour at the the end, plenty of a head, good overall
