50 cL bottle, Zipfer Original. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Crips hoppy and slight grassy aroma. Delicate fruity hops in the initial flavour. Light bitterness showing through. Light bitter and fruity finish. Nice one.

My RBESG08 journey started, if you look at ratings, at an Austrian gas/rest station with a Zipfer and it finished at another, with another Zipfer. Ogi provided this so thanks to him! From the can, in the car. Heh. Pale golden body. Appley nose, sourish hop, weak malt. Light green apple taste, scant malt. A bit harsh. Hoppy aftertaste.

Bottle brown, 660 ml
Appearance: Pours very bright, shiny golden body, urine like, with white, small, foamy head that decreases quickly and mostly to a small cloud floating on the body surface, carbonation is medium, body is clear, no significant lacing at all, body looks thin in its density. there is something floating in the body of the beer like very small fragments of don’t know what it is!!! Like hair from barber’ s dust bin.
Aroma: Milky, malted barley, fresh hops, clean hops, crispy malts, citrusy, lemon, hoppy and carbonated on the top, aroma typical for Premium Lager, a bit dull, soapy, nothing surprising or special.
Flavour: Bitter, fresh hops, quite dry, grainy, noticable barley malts, grapefruit, lemon, accidic, tonguy a bit, clean, flavuor of not sophisticated lager with some traces of Pilsener like flavuor, refreshing, good to dine with, strenghtening your apetite, well balanced, quite nice bitter lager. Finish duration is average.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery to dry, carbonation is lively on palate and beer seems accidic, finish feel is chalky, grainy, with mineral, hoppy nose, light alcoholic, an impression of a kind of heavy beer.

Can 0,5ltr bought it in Austria: Same as the medium but heavier in alcohol and eventually stronger in taste.

Can 500 ml
Appearance: Pale yet with neat large white top .3+
Nose Malty front, plain ,simple and light. 4+
Flavor/Palate :Thin bodied lager with mineral hop Saaz like feel. Straight lager with notion of being washed up.

bottle. Clear golden yellow, medium-size head. Bitter-sweet with resiny hops, solid malty background. Hints of wet cardboard. Not brilliant, but quite allright.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2008 500ml can. Don’t know if this was the same beer. Just said ’heller’.
Pale yellow, big frothy head. Sweet fruity lager aroma. Slightly grainy taste. A bit watery. some hops but the hops segue into alcohol. Boring. Probably fairly drinkable to lager drinkers, but not my bag.

raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - APR 26, 2008
Bottle 0.66 l from Tallinn, as "Original Import". Pale hay yellow, lacy white head. Nose is a bit hayish with some berries and fruits. Flavor is spicy grassy bitter with some sourness and maltiness. Bitter aftertaste. A bit peppery and stingy flavor. Flavorful and ok lager.

evilsoc (191) - WALES - APR 22, 2008
On a recent trip to Innsbruck I found this to be the most palatable widely available lager. The dry herby hops provide enough bitterness and theres enough residual sweetness to come across as slightly fuller than others in its class.
