17Beer (355) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 28, 2014
.5L bottles bought in St Anton MPreis. Smells of grass, grains and light hops. Pours pale golden yellow with an understated white head. Classic bavarian lager taste, nicely sour. Light and drinkable, fizzy carbonation with a long finish. Perfect after skiing big mountains.

varanid99 (1218) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 26, 2014
Pale yellow pour with fluffy white head. Grassy, malty, fairly innocuous aroma; taste is pretty much the same. Pretty standard pale lager..nothing too offensive, nothing too flash

Pours a clear golden color, toppedwith average frothy white head. Mild malty aroma some notes of grains - pretty basic. tsate is just a tad sweet at first, followed by a decent bitterness in teh finish, Crisp and refreshing, one of the best classic Austrian lagers.

Looks and smells rather boring, but it has a playful, fruity sourness in it that gives me associations to apples, grapes and maybe some lettuce. Although this was a positive surprise, it is still not much to write home about.

0,5l bottle. Classic austrian beer. Not the best, but good enough for the little thurst in between. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I loved this one years ago. I think Zipfer Urtyp changed with time. Now it’s more watery and has less hops flavor. Got a little bit grassy too.

Alengrin (5382) - BELGIUM - SEP 14, 2014
Popular Austrian lager, with a thick, snow white, creamy head and pure light golden blonde colour, clear with calm sparkling. Neutral but genuinely pale malty aroma, some vague sweetishness, hint of iron and weak floral hops. Slick, even somewhat oily mouthfeel, straightforward and somewhat thin, soft carbonation, a bit watery, vague and brief floral hoppiness in the end. Simplistic but clean and pure.
