Comes in a unique twist off bottle, very nice. It is really fresh, it just became available in the USA I believe. Pours into my Veltins glass with a deep yellow/gold, a nice white head rises far above the rim and produces some nice lacing. The smell is grainy, with medicinal hops, but mostly malt in the scent. Taste is a nice crisp light lager flavor, with a good maltiness but with subtle bitter hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit fuller than most Euro Pale Lagers. Overall its a decent Euro lager that is cheap and would be good for a party beer, impress someone with the fancy bottle. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 12-27-2009 20:10:28

300ml vom Fass at Taverna O Christos in Wien. Crystal clear, straw body. Shy cover of white, lacing foam. Discreet aromatic nuances of hops and malts. Same goes for the flavour - its dry hopped with grapefruit hints and malts beneath. Good lager (04.12.2007).

Nothing special about it, but nice to drink, at least it was refreshing on a hot night. Test of 24.07.2005.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2009 330 ml bottle. From Germany. Name was Zipfer Original Import. Tastes like a basic pale lager beer. A bit above the average. Quite boring. Well, quite smooth though.

500 ml can. From Wals-Siezenheim, Austria. Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Sweetish aroma with weak maltiness and hoppiness. Flavour is sweet and hoppy. Not too interesting.

Subtle hops/grain aroma. Dark yellow color and nice white head. Watery, grainy flavor with a slight bitter finish but grew on me as I drank more. Not bad but dont look too hard for it.

Bottle ( comes as a "Glass heller Freude"): Pale golden, thin but stable white foam, sticking to the glass; sweetish grainy/malty nose with a tinge of grassy hops and dust; faint sweetish-malty flavour with a distinctive, but mild bitterness; slightly bitter finish with a tinge of citrus. Not overwhelming, but quite pleasant and refreshing....................
