Fruity and slightly sweet. Light-bodied. Fairly carbonated. A very refreshing pilsener on a hot summerday. haukur (2079) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - DEC 16, 2003
a nice, very ordinary hoppy pils. Crispy taste, maybe too crispy. Lack of character, a little boring but drinkable

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Zipfer Original". Quite classical golden lager with a pretty high hoppiness. Not much fuss about this one. 140701 CamdenD (1197) - Madrid, SPAIN - JAN 31, 2006
I could drink this one no problem. A decent kick to the beer for a continental. Otherwise relatively bland, just a notch or two higher than your average italian version of this. Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - MAY 26, 2007
BOTTLE. I could tru this one in Vienna. Golden color with a nice white head. aroma is malty and flavor with some hoppy.
Cerveja dourada com aroma maltado e notas de lupulo no sabor.

Bottle in Austria. Poured orangy gold with a white medium head. A high level of carbonation dominates this beer leaving it feeling rather bland. Still it has some sweet and hoppy presence. Still refreshing. rosenbergh (11759) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 26, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2009 330 ml bottle. From Germany.
Name was Zipfer Original Import.
Tastes like a basic pale lager beer. A bit above the average. Quite boring. Well, quite smooth though.

500 ml can. From Wals-Siezenheim, Austria. Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Sweetish aroma with weak maltiness and hoppiness. Flavour is sweet and hoppy. Not too interesting.
330ml bottle labelled as Zipfer Original from a supermarket in Pecs, Hungary. ’slightly hazy medium yellow colour, small mostly diminishing frothy white head and virtually no lacing. Aroma of moderate malts with cookie and nutty notes accompanied by light floral hops and a bit of dough and nutmeg. Taste is moderately acidic, with a lightly bitter finish with a slight alcoholic feel, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Was somewhat shocked, I assumed it was another uninteresting bulk lager but there was even some yeast and character to it, more hopping and it would’ve been way above three even. OLD NOTES FEB 4, 2004
I’m pretty sure this is the beer I have. The 5.4% gave it away. Not too much on the nose. Seems like a lager with a bit of hops. Pours pale gold with a decent but diminishing head. Sweet body. Quite a sour kind of punch to it. Not what I expected. Not as bitter as other pilsners.

Draught. Pale yellow gold with fizzy head. Grains and grass, slightly sour and acidic. Inoffensive but boring.
