Somewhat sour, grainy palate with orange nutes. Medium-long finish. White and thick foam, stays long. Honey colour. A really good weizen beer.

Oakes (18199) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 1, 2009
Quite cloudy. Straw colour with a thick head. The aroma is quite sweet - banana, some icing sugar and some nutmeg. Fairly fizzy. Some banana and sugar, but enough wheaty acidity in the finish to cut it.

djoeye (4804) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 22, 2017
Aroma; coriander, apple, malts, cardamum, bread. Look; fawn standing good head, hazy golden amber body. Taste; caramel, coriander, apple, cardamum, bread, peel, malt, syrup - sweet malted finish. Feel;good body, soft co2, fruity. Overall; easy n solid, lets the hops get through the malty wall. That’s great! [Landbier Hefetrüb @ZumSternla oldest guesthouse in Bamberg June2017 6485’15]

Bottle (from Kachelofen, Bamberg): Suprsing smokey bacon notes in first taste. Dark muddy gold with a short white head. Nice caramel, banana and fruits, with a gentle, subdued bacon smoke edge. Interesting stuff!

Bottled from.. er.. Well, Germany I suppose. But no idea where I bought it from (how I caught it, found it or came by it, what stuff tis made of, whereof tis born, I am yet to learn). Actually, that’s wrong - I know what it’s made of and it was born in Zinrdorf. So let’s stick to the facts, Jack. Tea-with-the-teabag-and-a -little-bit-of-milk-in hazy brown, dirty-net-curtain-coloured slumping souffle head, fresh yeasty nose with just a touch of meatiness(?), itchy carbonation that gives the feeling in the mouth of a glass of lemonade tanked down just after you’ve spat out a mild bubblegum. If I could remember where I bought this, I’d go back and buy a case for the summer; an ideal weizen for those who find weizens too weizenny.

Bottle. Nice banana, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange brown color with moderate head. Musty wheat malt and clove flavor with light banana undertones. Hint of bitterness in the finish. Nicely drinkable - flavor is a bit bland.

Quinten (1062) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 27, 2008
Heazy yellow colour, full foamy head, much fruity hinds like banana, peach, citrus, some grain, basement aromas, and even some cheese, nice one but not fore the calories.

kappldav123 (6122) - GERMANY - NOV 26, 2013
Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, a bit darker than exspected. Starts mild, malty-yeasty, modest roasty. Soft hints of caramel. Finish dominated by malty notes, mild fruity. Quite drinkable. A good one!

3.5
SaintMatty (7439) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2015
Bottle (Pelican, Bamberg) - Hazy light amber with a foamy head. Biscuity malt, banana and toffee feature prominently in both the aroma and the taste.
