Color is clear brown. Light beige head is quite thick and lacy. Aroma is mild, sweet malty with a bit of grassy hops. Flavor is metallic, bitter and roasty caramel malty. Aftertaste is sugary and hoppy. Medium-bodied and slightly carbonated palate gunnfryd (15495) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 7, 2008

500 ml bottle (Zlatopramen Half n’ Half). Clear amber brown, small off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma with some raisins. Mildly roasted malty flavour with some caramel sweetness, and a little hoppy bitterness in the finish. Not bad, but not particularly good, either. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 22, 2009 Bottle, as Half ’n’ Half. A dark golden beer with a small beige head. Some butterscotch on the nose, but mostly sweetness, caramel and pale malts. The flavor is on the malty side too, with some butterscotch and a little bitterness. Medium body. A decent beer, but not worth spending time finding. Rating: 5-3-6-3-12-2.9. Bottle. It pours a clear, amber body with a small beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, some roasted aromas and a fruityness. Pears and yellow apples I think. Roasted, caramel flavor, lower on fruityness, and with a little bitterness. Medium body. Quite fruity finish, but with a balancing maltyness. Some notes of cellar too. A decent beer but that’s it. Deep red, small head. Grainy aroma. Rich full bodied taste, grainy and
with some burnt malts. Hops are a little astringent, but not
offensively so. Pretty good quaffer, full flavoured from the dark
half, and refreshing from the light half.
Bottled, thanks fatphil! Aroma of grains and raisins. Deep amber-red colour, thick beige head. Taste weak in alcohol, it’s more like rye bread milkshake. Not bad, quite refreshing actually. tomer (3846) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAY 13, 2008
0.5L bottle, medium head, medium brown colour with red taints. Strange hoppy aroma, extremely skunky and almost repulsive, with just a touch of malt. Taste of caramel and some bitter chocolate, feels a bit diluted. Goes well with food but nothing more than that. larsga (7679) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 1, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2008 Medium beige head with unevenly sized bubbles. Deep dark translucent red body. Earthy fruity aroma of wood, toffee, and wild berries. Dryish metallic grainy licorice toffee and wood taste with peppery hop notes. Some sweetness. Soft, velvety mouthfeel. Very harmonic and balanced. A bit watery. Somewhat reminiscent of soft drinks. Not at all bad. (0.5l bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg as Zlatopramen Half’n’half. Rerated as same.) TBone (18560) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 15, 2008
