3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2015 Can at HogTownHarry Fest 08. OK lager. Bit thin and horrible to be honest. But you know what? It’s a lager. 2/5. Bottle from a colleague at work. Clear gold lasting white head. Floral lemony aroma. Decent pilsner Czech style. Definite malty flavour. Some hop which could be more bitter and lemony on the finish, but it’s perfectly fine. Some sweetness from ABV rather than the clean 4% svetly. Fullness in the mouth. A malty Czech pilsner. It’s muted but totally fine.

Very minor foggy tone to a straw color. Crčme head. Minor cereal nose with a stronger metallic tone. Flavor is tart in a way I don’t consider positive. Metallic edge is there, but not the biggest character of the ride. Feel is typical. Overall this is average stuff. There is nothing interesting about it and the metallic and dirty edge just kind of kills it from ever being interesting.

A Mes rate: Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08
Horrible yellow gold with a thin white head. Harsh cardboard aroma that made me cough. Similar flavour. Heavily overcarbed making it sting. I think I feel ill...

Bottle. Pours golden, slightly hazy. Moderate fluffy white head, some lacing. Aroma is grainy maltiness, but with a bit of cheap plastic smell. Flavor is doughy and full, but has some cheap syrupy sweetness to it and boiled vegetable flavors. Adjunct flavors are unsettling. Light bitterness lingers in the finish, as well as some oily, grassy hop flavors. Honestly, a bit hard to finish.

Bottle. Skunky aroma accompanied by some hay, grass, and a touch of metal. Pours orange gold. Sweet skunkiness followed by some bread, grass, and a little spice in the finish. I guess it finishes pretty crisp, but this one didn’t do it for me.

[753-20071012] Bottle. Yeasty brewery floor aroma with grainy metal hay. Clear, dark orange brown body with a quick creamy off-white head. Grainy metallic yeast continues in the flavour with a corn base. Light-medium body. Mouthfeel has some redeeming qualities otherwise not pleasant.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear medium gold with a little white foam, smells of noble hops and fresh grass, nice crisp taste, a little bready, mildly bitter with a bit of lemon orange fruitiness, Texture has a little richness without being heavy. Good ’regular’ beer taste, a nice sessionable lager. Tastes pretty fresh compared to most European lagers that arrive in the States, Solid and sessionable beer.
