3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Joris. Just past its drink by a little. Dark brown with red tints and a low, fine head. Malty, wheaty, spicy nose, chocolate, bready, rye. Flavor is spicy grains, chocolate fudge, caramel, bread, and fruits. Raisin, plums. Quite complex, really. Finish is spicy, peppery, lightly bitter. Nicely malty and flavorful, and balanced as well. Very rich and bready and moreish. Good stuff!

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Small cream-coloured head, not very stable over chestnut-coloured clear beer. Greenery, leafy, coloured malts, some hop. Dry brown bread, moderate sweetness, finishes dry-bitter-leafy. Definitely other grains; very much as a German Dunkles. Warming up, sweetness becomes more prominent and sugary. Medium bodied at best, but quite gristslick. Leafy bitterness keeps lingering. Rather innovative and well-made - not what I’d suspect from a Heineken industrial subsidiary. Ďakujem, Peter a Michael!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle, thanks Cuso. Again initially again thrown off course by the 15,2% indication, which fortunately turned out to be gravity, not ABV - which is not stated anywhere on the label, a SK/CZ peculiarity.
Pours a pleasant mahogany with impressive creamy-white lacing. Aroma and onset are the contained fruity malts of a Schwarzbier, rye spice kicking in after that, dry and lively yeast leaving a dry palate and not unpleasant old raisin and powder sugar aftertaste. Well quaffable.

Bottle from Cuso, thanks! Dark brown color. Toffee in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with rye bread. Roasty notes. Tasty in spite of the sweetness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle thanks to Santa. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small white head. A light nose of caramel and biscuit. Pretty basic: caramel, berries, smooth, some spices perhaps. I can see this as a Christmas beer.
