With alc 5,3%. Pours a clear copper/brown pour with a thick tan head. Malty and dank nose. A solide Dunkelbier! Never ever Doppelbock! thornecb (6186) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Something is up with Old Fred. My recently imported bottle describes it as an "Amber Lager" with an abv of 5.3%. Pours clear dark amber into a shaker. Tan head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Caramel and resin aromas. Thick with caramel and toffee upfront turning to fruity bread and resin in the medium length finish. Ottima doppelbock con deciso aroma di malto ammorbidita con luppoli americani meno erbacei e più fruttati che non snaturano però la natura tedesca della birra.
