Bottled. My first impression of Russian lagers was that they were too sweet, but maybe that was just the Baltika. This is suitably dry, the color is a nice golden hue with a thin head. Maltiness plays well with a little bitter. A nice standard beer. jb (3216) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 27, 2005
Simple light pilsener styled beer. The taste of the hops is light, but lingers. Not bad. Ron (3920) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 27, 2005
One pint bottle that Patty gave me from BOTW. I sampled this with JB while he was trying to rid my computer of a virus that the kids gotten. The hops really stayed on the palate from this one cause the Yuengling I had after this tasted just like this for the 1st couple of swigs. 500 ml bottle. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is fairly rich and malty. Clean pale malt, very fresh with a touch of straw character and a soft floral aroma. Pretty solid pale lager. sloth (2895) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - JAN 25, 2004
Large offwhite/grey head, mostly lasting with splotchy lacing.. Good looking clear amber lager. Somewhat soapy, malty nose. Medium body. Malty, corny flavors with a hint of wet cardbord, yum. Astringent, dry finish.

Dark golden appearance, soapy white head; good lacing. Faint, fresh lake water aroma, not unpleasant. Crisp, clean flavor with a brief bit of spearmint and honey sweetness. Clean, crisp mouthfeel, not at all metallic as some of this ilk seem to be. Pleasantly surprised. NJBeerman013 (1054) - Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, USA - FEB 2, 2005
Pretty much a standard russian lager. Slight bite, fizzy head, yellow in color. Light compared to others I have had. Lubiere (13780) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 13, 2006
Golden lager with a thick collapsing white head. Light hoppy malt aroma. In mouth, crisp malt, with some chalky notes, and some light german crisp hops. A bit too light bodied, but a decent east european lager. rozsoma (1010) - Győr, HUNGARY - JAN 10, 2016

Smells bad. A smidge better than the Botchkarev, perhaps. Thin and watery. Undistinguished from an american standard.
