330 ml. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems & Zoon. Golden, only lightly hazy, paper white solid head. Nose is heavily yeast, light spoiled white bread / milk note, mineral. Heavy carbonation, mineral, faint sulphur spoiled milk yeast, plenty of chalk, off-bread. Carbonation is far too high. Odd mineral nature, light floral bitterness, white pepper. Some Zonderik beers were nice but don’t get the appeal of this, another unnecessarily blond Belgian Ale at best. Rather dull, unfortunate. tderoeck (10682) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 17, 2012
14/XII/12 - 33cl bottle from Bitter Zoet (Zonhoven) @ home - BB: 3/VII/14 (2012-1331) Thanks to Hilaire for the bottle and to Erwin for sharing!
Little cloudy light orange beer, big frothy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit fruity, yeast, some citrus, bit dusty. MF: quite some carbon, medium body. Taste:citrus, malst, pretty sweet, sugary, balanced by nice bitter hops, bit grassy, hay. Aftertaste: alcohol, sweet and sugary, some citrus, yeast. Ok beer, balanced and stuff, but misses some character.
