Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of raisins, prunes, some chocolate. Tastes of light chocolate, some licorice hints, spicy, semi-sweet finish. Enjoyable. kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - OCT 7, 2010
Bottle looks simple, but good, beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit rusty, some fruity notes of raisins, also some very nice smoky notes. Finish mild, well balanced, still malty and dry. Good dunkel! jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 26, 2010
11.2oz bottle in a shaker. Pours slightly darker than cola with a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and peanuts. Flavor strong of nuts, roasted malts, butterscotch notes, and a little hops at the end. Full bodied and average texture. A pretty good beer. I cant read the effing commercial description, but I’ll tell you what i think it says. 330 mil bottle from Bevmo. $2.29 eh! Rich red-brown with off white head. Nose is sweet like a cola and medium fruit. A bit of vanilla and light spice. Clove? Big smooth taste fills the mouth. Sweet brown ale feel turns to lager dryness. Leftovers combination of aspirin and sweet dark fruit. Nice beer. mephisto (1288) - TAIWAN - APR 30, 2010

Passable dunkel, overwhelmed by mollasses flavour. It poiurs very dark, with some decent head. Medium mouthfeel, on the sweetish side. Drinkable, but only if I am in the mood, not tonight. bottleman (14) - Idar-Oberstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2010

Bottle from big lots. Poured an auburn/brown color. Not much head. Aroma was quite nice; caramel, cocoa, nuts, bread, earth and sweet malt. Flavor was solid, but not quite as layered. Soft and smooth on the palate. Sweet, caramel and nuts with a short finish. Ok overall. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 3, 2010
Bottle:   Deep ruby, brownish hues, moderate to thin off-white head, spotty lacing.   Biscuity nose, and oddly enough a slight hint of corn tortilla.   Malty tongue, slightly bready, even a little sweet.   Not
half bad.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering soft bready malts after the finish.   Better than I was expecting.
