The bottle that I picked up at the Friar Tuck in Bloomington, IL, listed this as 4.7% ABV. It poured a deep, clear reddish brown with a creamy, sustained ecru head that provided plenty of lace. Decent brew. Served with a nice head and good lace. Has a nice dark malty and dark fruity nose. Flavor is similar, Soft palate. Smooth at first going to a light tingle. Finsih is dark malt and a little sweetness. Color is a dark amber brown. Session beer for sure. Would like to try this on draft as well as make beer bread with it.

11.2 oz bottle. Don’t know what the description says, but it’s a dark brown, off white head looking dunkel. First sip and I can feel the ABV already. Dunkels aren’t my area of expertise, but I sure like the flavor of this one. Better than a 63. Edit - After finishing the beer, I upped the points. Bottle, 25th rating for this brew. Mine lists 4.7% abv. Lovely nutty nose, sweetly malty with some well-lagered funk and a hint of spice, Schwarzbrot with toast and just a hint of toffee. Coke-colored pour edging toward ruby with a dense, creamy tanned head. Smooth, creamy, slightly tart taste, light nuts with caramelized sugar, subtle toast, and slight funk. Medium-light body, very quaffable. No trace of alcohol, and classy all around. A lovely Dunkel, one to savor!
