Draught. Clear ruby dark brown colour, beige head. Buttery nose. Easy malty aroma with brown sugar and butter underpainted by mild coffee. Slick mouthfeel. Mild roasty finish. Light and easy drinkable Dunkel one.

Dark golden with creamy beige head, good lacing. Faint aroma of milky notes and caramel, watery, crisp, high carbonation.

BeerBiker (1414) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2007
Expected something else, but instead a very nice looking beer ....and my teeth went watery, indeed. Beautiful dark brown look with some burnt aroma. Flavor is nice mediumbodied with notes of malt, slight smoke, smooth small coffee and caramel ending up in a nice bitter aftertaste for the style. But I think it is a dunkel of style.

Deep dark color with brown head. Aroma and taste of caramel. Easy drinkable and refreshing. Regardless the absence of bitterness beer is pleasant.

Tasted on 10.10.15. Pleasant aroma of malt and caramel with hints of roastiness and metal. Medium head disappearing to thin layer. Dark brown clear colour. Malts and caramel in taste. A bit watery and roasted.

Heavy malty aroma. Huge creamy light brown head. Excellent lasing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Black body hue. Moderate bitter smoked initial flavor. Oily texture.

Derbeth (1126) - Kraków, POLAND - JUL 19, 2013
Aroma: raisin. Very poor head, black colour. Taste: middle sweetness, no bitterness. Flavour is nearly exclusively of caramel. Oily feel, a bit watery for me. Does not taste like a bear, not very drinkable due to sweetness. Bottle, with name ’Zubr Schwarz’.

Kronebryg (1123) - Sorgenfri, DENMARK - MAR 2, 2012
Very fine head, almost black. roasted caramel, light but round nose with a little viol. medium body and some length. A little sweetness, roasted notes, pleasant but light.

3.4
ThreeCats (1012) - ISRAEL - OCT 24, 2015
Beautifully clear dark mahogany with a nice beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, plums, some roast, a touch of chocolate, and some cherry. Taste has a pronounced coffee flavor accompanied by some chocolate and roast. Full and rich, but only about medium body. Second swallow highlights some more roast and ash notes. The beer is very tasty, but the richness of it leaves you feeling full and not really looking for a second pint. This is basically a session sipping beer. :)
