Le Trappiste in Bruges. Pours a nice deep amber colour, quite hazy with a creamy tan head. Subtle aroma of apricots, peaches, and yeast. Taste is moderately sweet, no real bitterness and nothing overpowering about it, somewhat bland. Soft/smooth mouth feel, average carbonation, and light-medium body. Good beer.

Clear amber color, very pretty. High carbonation. Has a toasty aroma with some fruity and spicy yeast character, some caramel. Smells like a triple. Very concentrated flavor, good and complex. Nice touch of roastiness, rich malty flavor, spicy yeast tones, spicy hops that come out through the sweetness, which is under control. This has a great balance. Leaves a lingering clove flavor on the tongue. I really liked this, though it seemed to border on dubbel/quad darkness.

Craft Beer Islington share, thanks to Fergus. It pours hazy deep reddish - amber with a thick beige head. The aroma is earthy, wood, stewed orange, candy, marmalade, apricot, fig, dried berry and fruit cake. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, wood, earth, orange peel, dried fruits bread and a bit of spice. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Pretty OK I suppose, but it wouldnt stand out in a crowd.

Sweet grain malts, caramel, biscuit, dark, toasted malts. Clear, dark gold, medium, creamy, off-white head. Medium to heavy sweet. More sweet grain malts, caramel, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent Tripel, well-balanced, maybe a touch light. Bottle shared at CBC Islington tasting - thanks to The_Osprey!

April 2017 - Bottle share at CBC Islington. As Zundert Trappist, 8%. One of the newest Trappist beers on the market, having been first produced in 2013. Dark amber, translucent, still, huge dense foamy off-white head leaves light lacing. Aroma is biscuity, white pepper, linen. Body is light, tingly carbonation, frothy. Taste is biscuity malts, spicy, some booze showing up with an earthy, papery finish. Its exactly what youd expect to get from a tripel. My beer rating #7777! (3.4)

Bottle shared in London / thanks to Daniel. Pours clear, deep orange with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has some Belgian yeast, bready malts, ripening citrus. Medium sweet flavour with some white grape, grainy bread, low bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more grainy bread, light caramel, some Belgian yeast. Not bad.

Gut!
