Test vom 12.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Koelschtrinker (20231) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 4, 2011
Test vom 25.11.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,9,12,6,-,9

rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 1, 2011
500 ml bottle. BB Feb 11. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear pale golden colour with tiny white head. Fruity mildly bitter hoppy aroma with some sugary and malty notes. Flavour is malt, mild fruity notes and mild bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle. Crisp gold with small soft white head. Grain aroma. Rough and heavy handed. Aggressive hops. Smooths out a bit as you drink but comes off clumsy.

bhensonb (15094) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 14, 2011
Bottle from Bottleworks. Pours pale gold with a foamy 3 finger white head. Light fruity aroma - hint of citrus too. Lightly bready, lightly fruity, citrus seems absent. There’s a clean aspect to this. It’s just lightly bitter. After an NA it’s tasting pretty good. Refreshing.

On tap in Berlin (Wilhelmstrasse). Fruity, quite refreshing, but this is a style it is hard to get exited about.

Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2010
500ml bottle! The beer in glass is light yellow and pearly with a lot of CO2. Medium fine and durable flat head.Smells surprisingly hoppy fresh. Starts bitterhoppy, very bitter for a Kölsch. The hops come through well, and in the aftertaste, a light sweet hoppy flavor comes through. The further course is a bit milder, there are good, hoppy aromas. Outstanding good Kölsch, I am surprised!

Fred82 (2315) - Québec City, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2010
On tap at a random pub in Berlin.
Appearance : Clear yellow with a medium fluffy white head.
Aroma : Adjunct, malt and hops. A bit citrusy.
Taste : Malt, adjunct, notes of honey. Citrusy. Finish crisp and dry with lots of malt. Slightly bitter. Slightly grainy.
Overall : Refreshing but not very interesting. Compared to the great Kolsch I had in Cologne later on the trip, this one was just aweful.
