5oz on tap at the brewpub. Hazy red brown color. Thin off-white head, leaving great ropes of lace. Smooth, kind of soft/crisp lighter carbonation. Mild slick finish. Nice toasty and nutty malt. Some chocolate. Touch of fruitiness. Mild to moderate spicy-type hop bitterness. Mild to moderate sweet, good bit of dryness. Solid nut brown ale. But a bit more spicy and rough than I’d like in bigger swigs. Travlr (25556) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 18, 2015
Draft at the source. Cloudy amber color. Cocoa aroma. Taste has peanuts and cocoa. OK. GIJOE (1249) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - MAY 15, 2014
Average brown ale. Not much nose to speak of. Faint malt, but I don’t get much else. Taste is moderately sweet. A little thinner than I’d expect for a brown.
I confess, I’m having trouble fully appreciating this brewery. I applaud the effort to offer a broad assortment of styles and also appeal to local tastes. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by the California craft brew market. rondphoto (4488) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Clear, medium-dark amber, thin rim head, small clumps of lace. Taste is over-balanced on the sweet malt side - malt enters, grows sweeter in the palate, finishing with nary a trace of bitters
(or carbonation). Drinkable, but very average. b3shine (9027) - Indiana, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Draft to taster at ZwanzigZ. Looks good for the style; a cloudy orangish brown with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes malty and nutty with a solid mouthfeel. A decent example of the style.

Tap at brewery. Very light caramel malt aroma. Slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Nutty malt and light grassy hops flavor. LIght body, soft carbonation. ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Aroma of some almonds, toffee, caramel and light resin. Appearance is copper with bone head. Flavor is toasty and nutty with a touch of malty sweetness. Palate is light, slick and soft. Well done for the style. Patrickctenchi (6668) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Tap at source:
Deep amber with only a small ring of head.
Scent is malt, caramel...
Taste is moderately sweet.....not overly nutty.
A good flavour, but no real "hook" to it....
Just a solid, decent beer.

Tap. Caramel malt aroma. Cloudy amber color with small head. Sweet buttery caramel malt flavor with a mildly bitter herbal hops finish. Pretty good .
