Pours amber with a foamy, white head. Nose is boozy and medicinal. Taste is bit like cough medicine. This is a reasonably drinkable beer, but I’m not a fan. Sorry. b3shine (8875) - Indiana, USA - JAN 15, 2014
Draft to taster at ZwanzigZ. This beer is listed on the board as "Imperial Rye IPA" and is 8.4% and 40 IBUs, but I confirmed with the brewmaster, Mike, that it is the same beer. He didn’t know who entered it incorrectly though. Looks good for the style; a fairly transparent rusty orange with foamy off-white head. Smells solid; fairly hoppy with rye spice and a medium pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel and a bit of a rye tingle. Good beer.
