5oz on tap at the brewpub. Labeled 5.5%, 28 IBU. Clear very dark brown color, near-black. Great stout-like roastiness, nice bit of earth. Hint of cola. Thin off-white head. Leaves great thicker lace. Some dark chocolate. Love the roasty bitter flavor of this porter. Moderate bitter taste, very light sweet, more dry finish. Good bit of hop bitterness and dryness. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of slick lighter carbonation, with a good dry finish, and an impressive bit of chewiness. An impressive, earthier porter.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa and light licorice. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, cocoa, light vanilla and light easrthiness with a smooth dry lingering cocoa finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep dark brown with a dense, creamy tab head. Good lacing. Roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate aromas. Toast, bread crust, caramel, toffee, chocolate, and coffee flavors. Thick creamy mouthfeel. Full body with medium carbonation. Sweet burnt sugar finish. Very nice porter.

EyeAmBaldman (461) - Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Pours cola dark with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Taste is smoky chocolate and coffee. Almost a bit too smoky. Has a tad bit of coffee bitterness on the back end that lingers. Not a bad porter.

GIJOE (1260) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - MAY 15, 2014

Growler: Black with ruby highlights....huge fluffy, tan head. Scent is chocolate and coffee. Taste is the same, creamy with a slight dark chocolate bitter. Creamy, malty... Very nicely done.

Draft to taster at ZwanzigZ. I confirmed with the staff that this is their regular Porter, but that it’s not regularly offered and varies in abv. Looks good; cola with thin light beige head. Smells and tastes of dark malt with a solid mouthfeel. Decent beer.
