I didn’t cringe when I tried this sample like I saw some others do, but it’s not my favorite IPA. The bitterness is harsh, not really any citrusy hops or anything to balance it out. If you want a straight up bitter beer this is a good choice.
OK, got a six pack from a place called Cork V in Columbus, IN. Pouring this 5.7% ABV per the label bottle into a mason jar mug from some family hotel in Nashville, IN. Caramel, pine, citrus and a little herbal if not honey. Light to mild bitterness in the finish. A little heavy for the ABV. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 2, 2015
5oz on tap at the brewpub. 5.3% IPA huh? Neat. Labeled 6.0% on my visit, though, at 64 IBU. Good spicy and floral hop up front. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, lighter to moderate sweet. Just a touch soapy. Clear golden orange color. Thin white head. Leaves great thicker sheets of lace. Pretty nice, satisfyingly hoppy IPA, especially for the relatively lower ABV. Grew on me as I went. Nice choice. Travlr (24872) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 18, 2015
Draft at the source. Clear golden color, fluffy white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of orange peel. Taste has huge orange and lemon. I liked this one. Christpuncher (3135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2014
A decent ipa. Really easy to drink with a soapy finish. Smells hoppy and no citrus aroma. Had in a bottle.

Poured an orange color with aromas of citrus and some light pine. Flavors are hops and citrus with some mandarin orange. Light carbonation easy drinker thanks Beau for the growler. rondphoto (4448) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Clear medium amber, good head cover and sheets of lace. Taste is clean malt, joined deep in the palate by flowery hops that balance things splendidly. Good brew; I doubt that it really 65 IBU, bit doesn’t matter when it works so well. Recommended. wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Pours amber with just a slight haze. Nose is resinous hops, sticky greens, toaste malts. Flavor is very resinous hop oils, pines, and light citrus with a pronounced caramel and toasted malt character. Dry bitter finish. The hop aroma and flavor was much more intense and pleasant in the Columbus pale ale. This was overly piney and resinous. meh b3shine (8875) - Indiana, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Draft to. Taster at ZwanzigZ. Looks solid; a semi-transparent orange with foamy off-white head. Smells and tastes solid; balanced hops with a pale malt backbone. Average on the palate. A decent IPA. jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - APR 21, 2013
Draft. Cloudy amber body with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus and orange juice. Notes of grapefruit, caramel, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery turning creamy texture, soft carbonation. Lots of malt in this IPA and some of it is dusty, grainy. Tends to muddle the sweet citrus and bitter grapefruit.
