Dark Lager - India / Hoppy

The India Dark Lager - also seen as India Black Lager or Hoppy Dark Lager - is generally a decidedly hoppy, moderately strong dark amber to dark brown lager, showcasing modern American or New World hop varieties. The balance is hop-forward combining a clean lager finish with amplified hop aromas and flavours with very little yeast-derived flavors to conflict with the hops with a present dark malt profile. The key attribute of this style is that the beer is fermented with lager rather than ale yeast like in the classic India Pale Ale. "Imperial" and "Session" variants are occasionally seen and should be listed with them.
