Pale Lager - North Am. / Light / Rice

The North American Lager is a very pale, highly-carbonated, lightbodied, well-attenuated lager with a very neutral flavor profile and low bitterness. They also often appear as Light versions, where they are even more light-bodied and nearly flavorless lager designed to be consumed very cold, or as Ice / Dry versions, when they are even dryer with slightly more alcohol content. Less bitterness and flavor than an International Lager. Significantly less flavor, hops, and bitterness than traditional European Pilsners. Similar to American Adjunct Lagers, to which corn syrup is often used as the main adjunct, the Japanese Rice Lager uses a large proportion of rice in their making resulting in a pale yellow coloured beer with a light flavor profile and often paired with a dry refreshing finish.
