Stephen Cavan founded Paddock Wood in 1996, while lecturing on Classics and Philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan. Paddock Wood was created to fill a niche in the Canadian market for brewing supplies. At the time there was no source for the unique quality ingredients needed for making special types of beer. Although an academic background might seem an unusual place to start a brewery, Cavan’s passion for detail and quality lies at the heart of Paddock Wood. In 2001 Cavan became a Certified Beer Judge (BJCP), and continues to judge across western Canada, offering advice and materials to brewers both professional and non-professional.

This event, will provide you with a unique opportunity to meet Steve and find out all you need to know about Paddock Wood.
