This Friday we’re celebrating Earth Day with Hopworks Urban Brewery, Portland’s HUB for organic brews. The guys at HUB have been brewing beer sustainably since 2007. Every beer they make is Certified Carbon Neutral and Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth. The first brewery in Portland to open an “eco-pub,” HUB is cranking out the best and most interesting organic beer out of their 20-barrel system that we can find. We’ll have discounts on their seasonals, Secession CDA, Galactic Imperial Red and Noggin Floggin for the duration of the tasting and we’ll be pouring their three year round beers available in 4 pack tallboys:

Organic Hopworks IPA: The flagship Northwest IPA that’s hopped from beginning to end with a pine nose and citrus finish. Strong yet sessionable.

Organic HUB Lager: A light-bodied yet complex German-style Pils that’s perfect for quaffing after (or during) a long bike ride. Spiced with organically grown traditional hops like Perle and Hallertau for a great after-work brew.

Organic Rise-Up Red: Featuring a similar hop profile to their flagship IPA, Rise-Up has a candied-bread malt body and a floral aroma really goes down smooth.
