The second annual Bellingham Beer Week will take place in Bellingham, Washington, from Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 29.

All three Bellingham craft breweries — Chuckanut Brewery, Boundary Bay Brewery, and Kulshan Brewery — plus many regional breweries, beer bars, bottle shops, restaurants and other businesses will be hosting beer-related events throughout the city.

A wide variety of daily events are planned (approximately 50!), including Oktoberfest celebrations, brewer nights and tap takeovers, movies, beer-and-food pairings (including multi-course meals, chocolate pairings, cheese pairings, and dessert pairings), beer author talks and book signings, a homebrew demonstration, a live “Barleywood Squares” game show, a Beer Garden at the Bite of Bellingham, a Brews Cruise on Bellingham Bay, a Lager Off competition, Beer Trivia, special-release beers and a collaboration beer made by the three breweries in town (which will be available on draft and in 16-oz. cans). Fremont Brewing Co. of Seattle has even made a special Imperial Porter in celebration of Bellingham Beer Week, which will be available on draft and in 22-oz. bottles.
