2nd Annual Cincinnati’s Craft Beer Oktoberfest

Details

Cincinnati’s favorite Oktoberfest is back and better than ever! Welcome back Cincinnati’s Craft beer Oktoberfest, hosted by Listermann Brewing Company. Unlike most Oktoberfests, there is only one Oktoberfest beer on festival grounds. The rest of the breweries are bringing their seasonal and regular lineup to offer a great variety of brews. There will be live music all day, performed by local musicians (Bands yet to be announced). Several different food venders will be on hand to serve a wide range of food. Home brewers will be on hand making beer in the LD Carlson Home Brew Tent. Commemorative glass mugs will be provided by Boelter Beverage. There is no cost to attend Oktoberfest, just pay for whatever you eat and drink!

We have had such an overwhelming response to the previous festivals we have thrown, that we have decided to make this a two day event! Friday is Free Food Friday (while supplies last) provided by Parkers Blue Ash Tavern and Gliers Meats starting at 5 p.m. and going until midnight. Parkers will be on hand roasting a pig while Gliers will be serving Brats and Mets. There will also be vegetarian options available for purchase, and more food to purchase once the free food runs out.

“Rare Beer” Saturday is kicked off with our world famous Kegs and Eggs, sponsored by Gliers. Goetta and eggs will be provided at no cost for festival goers and volunteers starting at 9 am. 10 am is when the second day of the festival starts with a Rare Beer Tap In. Every brewery will be bringing a rare or special brew to tap at 10 am. Once these kegs kick, they will move to the next regular offering from that brewery. The festival goes until 11 pm with live music all day. This Oktoberfest marks the anniversary of Chickow!. To celebrate this occasion, Triple Digit is brewing 12 Different variations of their beloved brew!

The breweries involved are: Blank Slate, Fifty West, Christian Morelein, Rock Bottom, Rivertown, Mt. Carmel, Mad Tree, Cellar Dweller, Wiedemann, Rhinegeist, Triple Digit, and Listermann.
Listermann Brewing Company has teamed up with the German-American Citizens League of Greater Cincinnati to host the event. They will be bringing an authentic German feel to the festival, as well as booths, banners and parades to talk about their respective clubs. The ceremonial keg tapping of the Listermann Oktoberfest will be held at 4 p.m.

Like the all of the festivals previously held at LBC, this event will be family and dog friendly. We had a record 26 dogs at Volksfest in July and we would like to break that record! More info on the music and food venders will be provided later.

For those looking for a hotel room for the evening/weekend, we have teamed up with the courtyard Marriott in Norwood. Mention “Craft Beer Oktoberfest” when you call in for your reservation for the special rate of $139/night. The hotel is located at 3813 Edwards Road, less than 2 miles from the brewery, and can be reached at 513-672-7100.

For special accommodations or questions, call Listermann’s at 513-731-1130 or email Jason at [email protected] or Kevin at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you October 18th and 19th! Prost/Cheers!
