ChurchKey Welcomes Off Color Brewing to DC: 7 Off Color Brews on Tap + District Debut of Rats in the Ashes 3 Floyds Collaboration Ale!

In a short period of time Off Color Brewing has quickly developed a fervent following within the beer community, churning out innovative offerings since day one. Our good friend John Laffler met Dave Bleitner at the Siebel Institute in 2008 and began to together dream up Off Color, the brewery they’d one day found. We are excited for their team, and to finally showcase their impressive brews in Washington, DC.

Headlining the event is Rats in the Ashes, a Belgian Dark Ale that Off Color brewed in collaboration with the inimitable 3 Floyds from Munster, Indiana; this Belgian Dark Ale, or “Half-Quad” as the brewers call it, has been designed with a hefty dose of oats, Belgian candy syrup, and yeast borrowed from some friends in Oostvleteren, Belgium...

A second Off Color collaboration that is exceedingly rare--and equally delicious-- is Beer Geek Mus, a 3.5% Dry Stout brewed with Mikkeller.

We are also pouring Scurry, a resurrection of the long-lost Köttbusser style, brewed with wheat malt, flaked oats, honey & molasses for a distinctly malt-driven brew, as well as Dino S’Mores, an Imperial Stout brewed with graham flour, marshmallows, molasses, vanilla beans & cocoa nibs. Rounding out our feature will be Troublesome, a Gose-style beer, Tooth and Claw, a dry-hopped lager, and Apex Predator, a classic blond Saison.

There is no admission for this event and all Off Color Drafts will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. pours.
