The Rye Beer Fest presented by Taplister, a celebration of the revival of rye beers, will be held at EastBurn (1800 E. Burnside St., Portland, Oregon) during Portland Beer Week. The fest will take place on Friday June 10th, from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. and will feature 20 rye beers. To celebrate the 5th year of the fest we are raffling off a $1500 travel voucher. Tickets are $20 each and all funds raised from the raffle go to the Children’s Cancer Association.
$10 gets you into the fest and includes a glass and (4) 4 ounce tastes or 1 pint with additional tickets costing $1 each. Beer not your thing? Then try our Rye Whiskey Back Card. Includes (3) ½ ounce shots of select Rye Whiskeys. Mixologist Jacob Grier will be using the official Rye Beer Fest beer from BackPedal Brewing, Oatmeal Ryesin Cookie to make the official beer cocktail from 7-9pm. Finally, live music from The Cure cover band The Xploding boys starts at 10pm for a $10 cover, although Rye Beer Fest attendees who enter the fest by 8:30pm will not have to pay an additional cover fee for the band.
