Czech Republic is top five, so surely in the top 13. No way Ireland should be on that list and Norway is very questionable.
Yes Ireland is a mystery. Maybe I am missing something.
They make Guinness. The thickest, heaviest, darkest, and strongest beer in the world.
Is that a joke, or do you not get out much?

Canada? Really? Solid stuff but give me beers from NZ, Aus, Italy and many more first.
Yeah, but your numbers don’t back that up. They suggest more what I’d say, that NZ is ahead of Canada, but Australia and Italy are right in the same ballpark.
Averages! Reckon I would get something exciting from Aus or Italy and maybe some crap too, so it would average out.
Just don’t see much Canadian beer in Europe at all, apart from Brewdog selling Dieu Du Ciel.

Just about to say ... Belgium at #1! Move along ...
What I’ll say in defense of Belgium (and Germany for that matter) is that while they don’t have as many new breweries and styles as some of the other countries, at least the majority of what they make is pretty solid. The US may have 4000 breweries but 3800 of them are mediocre at best.
Eh, I’d say the good:bad ratio is probably similar in Belgium versus the US. Belgium is just so much smaller that in absolute terms, yeah, it’s much less, but in relative terms it’s more comparable.
Some of the breweries in Belgium are older than this country itself, so the list that was made isn’t just about how many craft beers a country makes or the beer scene. I"m sure it included tradition, history, influence in the world of craft beer, etc...

OP title was "best beer countries" ...
Which country do you refer to in terms of ’this country itself’ ?

So if it’s about history then Messopotamia or the like wins ? I was reading this thread in respect to where is best to drink beers now ???

Yea, no fricken doubt, US US US US! Head and shoulders above Belgium! Belgium, in the past, but there are so many Belgy US wannah beez that are so good, been there done that. Well, OK, never mind, forgot for a minute that Orval is brewed in Belgium. Yield, Belgium is #1.

Hands down Belgium for me. Too many world class beer makers making stunning beers that don’t need hop or barrel age gimmicks. If I was only allowed to drink Belgian beers for the rest of my life, it wouldn’t be a problem. I’d say: 1. Belgium 2. US 3. UK
