For me it would be Ratcliffe Ale.

Stella Artois. No doubt about it.

Good call Steve. Fascinating read.

I dunno. Aging a beer 137 years seems pretty gimmicky to me....

Specially if the brewer lives to sell it himself

Okay, the German TV segment about Sink the Bismark (30%) vs. Schorschbock (43%) has been subtitled and put in three segments here:
http://de.tinypic.com/r/2ccmfif/3
http://de.tinypic.com/r/2qatvz9/3
http://de.tinypic.com/r/2yy9pb6/3
(Yes, there are a few typo’s, and the formatting ain’t perfect, but it’s free, and "whoever" did the subtitling clearly only spent the time to do a first pass, not a professional job.)

The original video from Pro7 is here http://www.prosieben.de/tv/galileo/videos/clip/23425-das-staerkste-bier-der-welt-1.1708058/

The BrewDog dude’s German’s actually quite, quite good. Funny accent though. Repeated freezing is the trick.

Email to BrewDog about this a while back went unanswered, FWIW.

So we have a german lab saying its not 41% and a scottish lab saying it is. All i can say is that without the lab testing it could not have been sold due to goverment laws, so if the goverment is happy with it, who is right?

You’re assuming they got it wrong.

If The End of History isn’t 55% I’m going to demand a refund on my 7 bottles

Two more reputable sources that found the exact same number? I think it’s a fair assumption.
