Is it possible to age a beer too long? I had a Samichlaus Helles from 2007 a few days ago and it was delicious. I wonder what another 5 and a half years would do to that beer...
Is there a window for aging beers or can you (assuming it is properly stored) age a beer indefinitely?

The flavour will continue to change, sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. Only one one way to find out.

Very few improve with age. A good read: http://www.ratebeer.com/Story.asp?StoryID=466

You will ruin more good beers by aging than those that see any improvement.

Every second you don’t drink it your beer is rotting.

This has me lmao. The Harveys Stout I bought from you, 2008, was magnificent! I’m gonna call you for more, if you have it.
