Just curious. Goose Island BCBS made it to my market ,at least in wide distribution, for the first time this year and it’s readily available. There are cases of it in grocery stores. I’m sure it won’t last too long, but is this normal, at least for this year post-AB-InBev buyout? |
It disappeared within a day at every place I know of in at least 4 markets this year, so I would say that your area is the aberration. |
Being slowly released all over the US now and will be year round in 2013, correct? Based on what we know about beer nerds, less trade value and less .rar = no want for the beer. Take the hoarders out of the equation and you are left with the people that want to actually drink BCS. I’d say we will be back where we were 3 years ago when you could purchase BCS at just about any random beer store pretty much year round. |
It’s too good to worry about rareness. Send it here to Denmark on a regular basis and I’ll drink it every week |

My store in NJ got 2 cases it’s been about a month and they’ve been holding it for regulars. They just put it on the shelf so we’ll see how quickly it goes. There was 2 four packs a 2 singles. |
We got some in the beers stores in Scotland. That doesn’t happen very often. |
Originally posted by BBB63 Should be if we keep getting regular shipments year round, no? Here at John’s we should be getting about 1/3 of what we used to get shipped, which is 4x as much as we did the last couple of years. I feel if we get that a few more times over the next several months, it will just be another random beer on the shelf that people grab on the rare occasion. |
New York got a ton |

Originally posted by BenH Scotland? We are supposed to be getting GI here in Texas, but it is taking its time. I’m skeptical that we will see any of the BCBS. |
