Mekong is my only must, wife wants to go to Hardywood. Just a lege disclaimer if nothing else

Strangeways is close enough to Mekong that it’s worth a look, especially if they happen to have live music back in the barrel room.

Oh, and if you like dry ciders, Blue Bee is worth a stop

I don’t know the weekend hours, and it will probably be packed, but you might want to check out The Veil.

yeah, I forgot about that one. I haven’t been there, but their beers are tasty

Lots of good choices. The ANswer since you’ll already be there. The Veil Isley Ardent Black Heath Mead Stone is pretty amazing. A ton more too. Even if old and tired like Legend, still solid. Lickinghole Cream and COTU are awesome out of town. Side trip to Charlottesville / Nelson County is worth it if you have the time.

Lickinghole Creek of course. Although it would be interesting to have Cream on your Lickinghole

I turned off my autocorrect after the "I’m drinking with the morons" incident in Utah.

Hit Mekong for lunch, visited Veil, Ardent and Isley. Hotel bar, Quirk, had a Lickinghole Creek on tap

I see that you were somewhat underwhelmed with Veil beers. Did you not factor the hype into your scoring?
What did you think of the place though?
