For me, a few #juice IPAs from Modern Times -- Centaur Gardens and Roots of Coincidence were my two highest rated beers of the year, and it seemed like they were releasing a great new IPA at least once a month.

Best beer was https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/green-flash-flanders-drive/191373/. It was superb stuff and another reason why Green Flash is my favourite brewery at the moment.

Most memorable was https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/steel-city-her-ghost-in-the-fog/397611/.
Ratebeerians with over 200k of rates between us all said it was the hottest beer ever. It wasn’t even a gold.

Yeah Green Flash/Alpine put out some great stuff... I went to their tasting room a few times this year, but haven’t made it to their barrel room for some reason yet. Best I had from them this year is this one -- https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/alpine-beer-company-hfs/302180/

I am very thankful that I got to try Schlenkerla from the wooden barrel a few times. It’s just so different from the bottle.
It really grew on me, and now it’s a perfect 5 in my book.

Also, some New England Hazy IPAs, finally some Speedway variants (Vietnamese is incredible, and BA was a bit of a disappointment), and probably my Top beer of 2016: Stille Nacht Reserva 2010.

And I am very grateful for Hommage, Zenne y Frontera, Armand & Gaston, Hunahpu and Börb’nåhallon. So many wants!

One of my all time peak beer experiences was drinking mug after mug of this at the brewery.

Pliney the Younger

Great beer
Great beer buddies
Great time

More about the experience than the beer.

Beer that sticks out in my mind the most is probably Bottle Logic Fundamental Observation from Hunahpu Day. Epic.

Lift Bridge Silhouette Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout

I had never heard of this brewery, or beer, but it was really good and took me by surprise.
