Message after4ever P admin beers 8025 º places 322 º 08:59 Tue 1/3/2017 Best: Fremont Rusty Nail and Smoking Jacket; Block 15 Turbulent Consequence Peche and Breakfast with the Buffalo. Finally got around to Cuvee de Ranke. Most memorable: Also best overall beer from last year--Cloudburst Yakima Tongue Kiss. Hoppy IPA with peach tea blended in. Insanely complex fruity, juicy flavors all blended together.

Have had it two more times since but that time was truly special. Some other great beers and moments during 2016: Boon Mariage Parfait Oude Geuze during a lunch with Frank Boon and his wife Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen from a wooden barrel while discussing rauchbier with Matthias Cantillon Menu Pineau with Stene of Akkurat and Jean of Cantillon 3 Fontinen Oude Geuze Magnum 2004 at Lambik-O-Droom with Armand and, again, Stene Chimay Grande Reserve 1999 while sitting in the brewery "tasting room" gazing down on the old bottles in the cellaring room below Rodenbach straight from the foeders, at 12 and 18 months of age Pipeworks BA Jones Dog straight from the barrel Pilsner Urquell with pivni syr at U Hrocha in Prague Stone BA Imperial Russian Stout 2008 at the Berlin opening Oppigårds Winter Ale on cask at the inauguration of their new brewery Brewski Pen!s Colada at the Brewski and Dry & Bitter event at Fermentoren in Copenhagen along with many old and new friends There was more but let’s stop there. 2016 really held a lot of good beery memories.

Message Bryne P places 1617 º 11:59 Tue 1/3/2017 Best beer in 2016? I’m not sure, but among more than 1600 new beers the last year, I really enjoyed a fresh Russian River Pliny the Elder @ source. Have also had top notch beers from Lervig, Cervisiam, Buxton, Omnipollo, Cellarmaker and Avery.
Message Jow P beers 7340 º places 487 º 12:05 Tue 1/3/2017 Best was Grimm Present Perfect which hit the spot for me and Grimm has been killing it all year and is my favorite brewery so no surprise there. Most memorable was Mikkeller Spontanfaro since I din’t expect to get to 10 of every style in 2016 but then good old Mikkel by way of Leighton got me this brew, sweet!
