The Prima was by far the hoppiest and stood out a lot, the Braumeister had a nuanced, complex nose but some pear and apple that threw Kevin off since that is not normally in that beer. The Heater Allen had a lot of sweetness in the nose like peach juice and pineapple and was sweeter and oiler in the body. The Pikeland was very malty and rustic so I wasn’t the biggest fan but Ryan really liked that one. It had no off flavors, just a bit raw to me. The Jinx Proof was just very bitter, not really hoppy in any sense, just much too stinging and abrasive to be any good with this bunch. |
