Yes, I just got an e-mail from the brewer, who is unloading mackerel from his father’s fishing boat at the Western coast of Norway right now!

Yes to you possible not being able to reach him since he is somewhere midway between Oslo and Glasgow as the seagulls fly . But thanks to the wonders of modern technlogy he told me that the unlabeled beer I got was the Edition 004 Matured in a Bowmore 1987 Cask. Is that one already on the ratebeer list?

Well, if they sent me two bottles and say so, I would say one of them does!

It is the forth edition available from the brewery but it is coded as Batch 008 on the back of the bottles. I have just spent all day today putting the labels on..

If I had known you were with the brewery, I wouldn’t have argued with you!

Ooh, I need to get my hands on some of this! I’ll give the brewery a ring tomorrow

Regarding whether to merge all Paradoxes, it’d be a great shame, and something I would urge against - yes, they’re the same base beer, but they’re so stunningly different from themselves, they can hardly be considered the same beer and it’d be a great shame to lose them.

What does need doing is http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/brewdog-paradox-islay/72425/ and http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/brewdog-paradox-edition-001-islay-cask-(bottled)/73221/ merging, as they’re the same beer, the Caol Ila finished beer. But I guess you know this anyway, so I’ll be quiet.
