A lot of the comments say they tried but there was too many funky additives to get fermentation to kick off but seems like a strong starter and yeast nutrition can get you over the hump.

When I lived in IA I had a few different beers at a festival that were made partially with Mountain Dew instead of water. Weird stuff, but they really tasted like Mountain Dew.

If you tasted it at Brew Ha Ha in the Quad Cities, that was ours. Back in the good old days when homebrewers were allowed to bring their stuff to the festival.
