Hej ! Hvordan har du det i dag.
Hi guys. I’m headed CBC for the first time from Chicago (2nd visit to Copenhagen). Obviously there be plenty of beers pouring at the fest, but I wondering if anyone knows of some can’t miss special events that weekend - either beer related or not. I’ll be there Thurs - Sun. I know of the obvious Mikkeller, Warpigs etc... but just wondering about special tappings or events that may be off the radar.
Also I’m interested in trades and I posted in the FT forum. Feel free to checkout my post and mssg me if interested.
Hope to share a beer with some of you soon.
Cheers

Jeg har det fint, tak! Hvordan med dig? You’re probably aware of these already and I would hesitate to call them "can’t miss" but they are happening and then you can judge the merit of attending or not: To Øl will be opening their giant combined tappery, brewpub, bottleshop and eatery on Thursday May 12th. It’s called "BRUS" and comprises 750 sqm in the vicinity of Ølbaren and in the same borough as Mikkeller & Friends. On the opening day they will be serving 2.200 litres of free beer virtually ensuring that this will be an event more for mainstream people than for craft beer enthusiasts. Here’s the ratebeer description of the event: http://www.ratebeer.com/event/47755/brus-opening-party/ Also, on Wednesday May 11st new and upcoming Australian restaurant and craft beer bar Banksia will be doing an Omnipollo tap takeover and brewer’s dinner. As I understand it the brewers will be attending and presenting their beers. Here’s the facebook page for the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/367424126761217/ There is the Sour & Bitter #3 event on May 12th, which takes place in the premises of gastronomic innovation venture in Copenhagen featuring beers from Pizza Port and J. Wakefield: http://www.ratebeer.com/event/47284/sour-bitter-3/ Taphouse will be celebrating their two year anniversary in the weeks preceding the Copenhagen Beer Week culminating in the proper two year anniversary on Saturday April 30th. The entire program for that week can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1570155353274965/ Finally, regardless of whether they will be doing events or not, the newly opened Himmeriget beer bar would probably be worth a visit: http://www.ratebeer.com/p/himmeriget/60602/

Bunker Beer’s regular, monthly tasting of Nordic craft beer takes place on Saturday May 7th at 13 o’clock. There are 14 seats available for the tasting, which takes place in a small, disused cold war bomb shelter in the borough of Østerbro: http://bunkerbeer.dk/14/index.php/da/2014-06-11-17-50-07/arrangementer/76-vintersmagning Price is 150 DKK per person (to be paid in cash upon arrival) and for your money you get to taste 5 Nordic seasonally appropriate beers during one hour. There are no details about the lineup although they have been known to include brands like Ægir, Nøgne Ø, Kølster, Dugges, Haandbryggeriet and similar.

Its going to be a busy week again by the looks of it :) That Cloudwater one looks good at Banksia, love their beers I have had whenever im back in UK so makes the 12th even more of a packed schedule to negotiate (nice problem to have of course) FullObs - hope you enjoy your time over here, also last year I put up this thread... http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/copenhagen-beer-week-leading-up-to-cbc2015--27-4-2015-to-3-5-2015_273775.htm Was designed for both visitors and locals to have all the events in one place for easy reference, because it does get packed with events the closer we get, people can add new stuff they find out so we keep it updated on the first post of thread. Happy to do the same again this year.
