It happens. ’Cuse will go 1-1 against those two. That one loss will be a bit embarrassing, but don’t hang your head. It’s expected. Keep it relatively close and the nation will be impressed. Unfortunately, it probably won’t be close.

Message hopscotch beers 11919 º places 307 º 05:50 Sun 11/3/2013 BTW - When Holgerson was named head coach at WVU, I checked out a lot of post-game interviews when he was the OC at both Houston and OK State to see what kind of guy we had hired. When at Houston, they beat Tulsa in a close game decided by a last second field goal. He was asked how he felt about Tulsa’s tactic to slow down his Houston offense late in the game. He said, "Oh, you mean their cheating in the 4th quarter?" The cheating = Tulsa’s defensive players obviously (even to the TV announcers) faking injuries on every-single-play late in the game to slow down Houston’s high octane, fast-paced offense. It allowed Tulsa to make defensive substitutions. It worked. It was tedious and really slowed the game down to a crawl. Houston still won by a field goal, so poetic justice. Tulsa’s OC at the time? Gus Malzahn. Quote of the weekend = Gus Bus: "Uhhh, he got hurt."
