Some gems were a little too well hidden, completely missed Serpents Stout with Cacao Nibs!

And also a direct refute to those who complained about the beer selection....

completely agree - that line-up is hard to beat anywhere.

Personally I find it a lot more satisfactory to find hidden gems instead of constantly going whale hunting.

Some of my highlights at CBC were:
Beachwood Knucklehead Red
Cigar City El Murciélago
Struise Rio Reserva
Uncommon American Special Bitter

And at CBF some of those heavy hittin’ Stronzo beers really impressed me.

el Murcielago is a tasty, tasty brew.

LOL

As an alcoholic the high alcohol content pleasantly surprised me.

On the other hand, the bland yeasty liquids from the same brewery were typically 2 tokens despite being less interesting than anything from Leffe or Hoegaarden...

Just a short service announcement:

at the CBC last week Brodies served what was presented ad "Old Street IPA". The brewery just confirmed that it was in fact "Old Street Pale Ale". I have moved the rating on the wrong entry.

As a volunteer from Denmark, I felt that the Swedes and Norwegians were really cheap. Enjoyable company though.
