Join me in a late night, early morning Virtual Bar as the vote counts come and drink whatever you’ve got hanging around. |
Sounds good. I’m trying to drown out the election - the result isn’t really in doubt and Christ knows I’ve got enough going on just now - but I can’t resist popping my head into a virtual bar. |
Yup ... I’ll be in ... save me a seat. |
Im prob going to bed as normal about 9 and hope to check phone when i wake about 1-2 and decide if im getting up to see rest |
I will be watching it through to the next morning. May just stick with coffee though. If not, it will be red wine or homebrew tonight. |
Great idea. Everyone say who they voted for. |
I’m in. Hoping Jezza surprises a few. Not our Jezza, the other Jezza. Our Jezza always surprises... |
I fear I spend too much time in my metropolitan pinko liberal elite echo chamber to get much of a handle on "the mood of the nation". However, I do feel a little less despondent about the likely outcome than I did when the election was first called. That said, I’ll probably end up drowning my sorrows with my like-minded, out of touch chums rather than hanging out here. Whatever the outcome, I’ll always be able to cherish the day as the one on which my 60+ Oyster card arrived. |
Booked tomorrow off in anticipation of a late night. Will be trying to stay up for the Rochdale result (Usualy around 2am) but will probably fall asleep on the couch full of aldi festival beers around midnight. |
Thinking of you UK people. Drinking Moinette Ambrée, hoping that nobody gets to declare that they don’t have to listen to anybody else. |
Up at 6am to get into work, partly in case of volatile market conditions tomorrow with the election, so sadly won’t be around late (maybe just a early nightcap) but will catch the early results by then on BBC probably. First time I have not voted (first time I really couldn’t decide who to vote for though) |
