Message Papsoe P beers 25039 º places 4 º 02:25 Mon 8/2/2010 Jan Bolvig better known as "fonefan" (which translates to "F1 fan" in case somebody didn’t know) turns 50 today and joins this league: http://www.ratebeer.com/Users/TopMasters.asp I think it’s safe to say, that he’ll be hard to remove from that spot for a while... Jan has an amazing backing in his lovely wife Charlotte and I doubt that any European ratebeerians have NOT yet met this friendly, hospitable and generous couple as they travel extensively in Europe for festivals etc. and host several tasting events in their faraway home in the desolate moors of the barren Danish westcoast. http://www.flickr.com/photos/aserezis/3743781709/ Unfortunately work doesn’t allow travels to the US, so not many of you over there have met them. Jan has had a few special beers made for this occasion, one of them being: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/grassroots-fone50/127214/ However - and I have to stress this - Jan still has a long way to go to fully understand good beer since he has chosen to celebrate the event with cask beer in London at the GBBF (flat, warm - you know the dril...) Still, I suggest each and all to raise a glass - or thimble - in honour of this RateBeer giant P.S. Jan has never really revealed what his RateBeer ambition is, but I think it’s pretty clear to each and every man - especially since Ungstrup has turned to drinking kiwi wine in France...)

Seriously...I am shocked, as both Jan and Charlotte look decades younger than 50. It must be their positive energy and scores of healthy beer. Enjoy the party!
