Agree. Cider and mead are the reasons my life won’t be devastated if a doctor some day tells me to avoid gluten.

Finally stopped by the Milwaukee cider bar (Lost Valley) a few weeks ago. I haven’t confirmed this but they said when they opened (15 months or so ago) they were the 8th cider bar in the U.S. Now, there are over 100. So, safe to say ciders are becoming more mainstream and accessible.

I think because it’s seen as an artisanal speciality product. Also many orchards were cut down or converted to eating apples during prohibition and it’s just now getting popular again. That’s my guess at least.
