Got any new toys lately?

Just sent a batch into my SS brewtech brew bucket. It’s very shiny and nice to work with so far. Don’t think I’ll make better beer, but I am enjoying my purchase.

What about you? Any new toys as of late? How are they working out?

I got a grain mill a few months ago. It’s pretty basic, but I’ve loved being able to buy grains in bulk. I just crush while I’m heating my mash water. I’ve had a few stuck sparges with it, so I may need to do a slightly coarser crush.

For the first time in a while, I managed to get an order for grains and hops without also ordering new toys! It was weird.

Not for homebrewing, but we got an Anton paar at work a while back. Taking gravities has never been easier! I’d love to get one at some point for my own use, but $$

Got my SS brewtech brew bucket a couple of months ago, waiting for a brewless weekend (10 brews so far this year!) to set it up...

Do die casts from the Cars 3 movie for my kid count? Because those are the only new toys in my world these days.

I hadn’t home brewed for nearly 10 years. So i got an whole new set of brewery equipment a few weeks ago. Nothing special, just fermenter bucket etc. Brewed with a regular two tin kit this time but I am starting my first partial extract this weekend.

Maybe I will start full grain next year after a bit of experience.

Welcome back to the hobby Sarky! There are many options for all grain now that involve much less bulky equipment, makes it so much easier to get it by the family council
