Message Quasimodo beers 217 º 19:23 Fri 11/16/2012 I think Two Hearted is a good tasting beer. However, I think it tastes more like a modern pale ale than an IPA. It isn’t bitter enough for an IPA. The aroma is nothing special. I understand why some "hardcore" IPA dudes diss it. Many people who are into IPAs want it bone dry and bitter with no caramel malt, huge aromatics and the cleanest yeast possible. Two hearted is not that. The yeast reminds me of Westmalle. Perhaps a house mutation of Westmalle. The yeast produces a flavor the WestCoast style IPA drinker doesn’t want to taste. They want to taste 2row, a crap ton of hops and nothing from the yeast.

Message drowland P beers 11069 º places 430 º 21:32 Fri 11/16/2012 RCBQXT2 for sure. I heard about it on BA and managed a really disappointing DONG trade from hopscotch. Not hoppy enough, too much barrel, seemed infected, and everyone told me it was better a few years ago.
