GD Yeti, non-barrel editions. Not terrible, but quite meh, IMHO.
Barrel Yeti may be unpleasant, too. Never tried it and am in no rush to do so.

Yeti is totally overrated - completely agree. That and ST Jahva were my first impies, and I remember being so underwhelmed by that style at first.

Get ready to stone me, but Westy 12 isn’t even as good as 3 or 4 Trappist ales I have had lately. And I’m sure many of you are saying, "But Doc, you overrate Two Hearted and Dreadnaught and Three Floyds and Alesmith and blah blah blah".

As BBB63 said (and I paraphrase), "A rating is a moment in time between the rater and the beer; the exact circumstances of which can never be duplicated, and never undermined in the eyes (and ears and tongue) of the rater".

Westy 12 reminds me of 8% malt liquor. I just don’t see the fascination with that and narke.

Are people taking into account oxidisation and off-flavours whilst slagging these beers off? It is amazing the difference of a good bottle and a bad one. Also look at the importing side. Black Hole isn’t the same beer in Copenhagen as it is in the US. It’s changed during secondary fermentation and could be completely ruined by a warehouse or whatever. It’s twice the beer that Dark Lord is but then I’ve not had that fresh at Three Floyds.

Which ones, pray tell? I rate Rochefort 10 higher for sure, and have had a few unimpressive 12s in my time, but I had a whole bottle to myself last week and it was very enjoyable.

Arrogant bastard, i’ve tried it many times over different periods of time and still can not enjoy it.
